She has attended special training courses on “The Social, Economic and Institutional perspectives in the co-management of Marine Protected Areas” organized by The Training Network for Monitoring Mediterranean Marine Protected Areas (MMMPA) in Murcia, Spain and on “Decision Support Tools for Decision Makers” organized by the National Institute for Marine Research and Development (NIMRD) “Grigore Antipa” Constanta, Romania and in Norwegian Institute of Marine Research in Bergen, Norway.
Since 2010, she holds a position as a research associate at the Hellenic Centre for Marine Research. Her research interests include: Integrated Coastal Zone Management, Sustainable Tourism Development in Protected Areas, Marine Spatial Planning and Geographic Information Systems (GIS).
She has participated in 4 European projects. She has collaborated with institutions of Higher Education in Greece, as well as with private companies as external assistant.
She has contributed 5 papers in peer-reviewed journals, as well as 13 other publications (i.e., conference proceedings, special publications, newspaper and magazine articles).
