Engineer, holds a PhD in Engineering Architecture for Environmental Sustainability (Polytechnic University of Marche, Italy); currently she holds a position as assistant professor in Applied Ecology at the Department of Design and Planning in Complex Environments of Venice University IUAV. Main research interests are in environmental assessment and landscape ecology through ecosystem services in coastal and marine areas. She teaches “Environmental Analysis and Assessment” at Iuav University. She coordinates the Erasmus Mundus Master Course in Maritime Spatial Planning. She was consultant for Veneto Region in the Programme MED “APICE - Common Mediterranean strategy and local practical Actions for the mitigation of Port, Industries and Cities Emissions.”, (2011-2013). Currenlty she coordinates a research titled “Risks, landscape resilience and strategies for mitigation and adaptation for climate change: ecosystem-based approach for the management and planning of coastal and marine areas”. Experienced in the design of European Projects (SouthEastEU-TERRE, financed, 2012-2014), she was consultant in SouthEastEU-NATREG; MED - APICE, INTERREG IIIB – CADSES - LOTO, INTERREGIIIC East – ECOLAND; she takes part to the “project for the sustainable development of the ‘Humedal Abras de Mantequilla’ wetland, Ecuador” for UNDP and Veneto Region (2011-2014).
