Determination of importance and necessity of MSP - Introduction the project to a wide audience, creation of contact points with observers and stakeholders and to set up of their involvement in the planning process.
ADRIPLAN first Conference and Workshop will be the occasion for starting a continuous dialogue with the large community of stakeholders. It will be attended by representatives of the European Commission and of the Public Administrations of the Adriatic-Ionian region Countries, members of the Scientific Community, private industries and civil society organizations.
MSP is particularly important today, considering the launching the EU Strategy for the Adriatic and Ionian Region (EUSAIR) that will contribute to the definition of the development strategies of the region and to the destination of resources and projects.
ADRIPLAN project will be introduced to a wide audience, showing the necessary steps to achieve a commonly-agreed approach to cross-border MSP in Adritiac-Ionian Region, based on the best available scientific knowledge and providing concrete examples for a sustainable us of maritime space.
The importance and necessity of MSP in Adriatic Ionian Region will be analyzed through the fundamental interaction with stakeholders. They are invited to take an active part in the afternoon session workshops, where the results of the EUSAIR consultation recently performed by the EC will be also discussed.
